We are certainly living in the strangest of times.

Petrol prices are dropping and food prices are sky-rocketing.
But seriously, what is the use of filling your tank if we can’t go very far, anyway?
I haven’t worn make-up or painted my nails since the beginning of lockdown.
What’s the point?
I’ve been impressed with myself when I find the energy to wash my hair – even on a good day.
Currently, I’m totally rocking the homeless look at home!

Truth be told, I am far from ‘sexy and killin’ it’ during lockdown.
This also matches my desire to wear baggy clothes as I feel frumpy!
When I told a friend recently that I feel frumpy, she replied: “No, you are not, you are just grumpy!”
She has a point, but for 29 out of 34 days I’ve been feeling grumpy and frumpy.
So, this afternoon I visited our local store to get some items to make a chicken soup as I am planning to kickstart level 4 this Friday with a bang of motivation.
Well, that’s the plan.
So, while I’m browsing the aisles checking out for an odd bargain or two, my eyes zoom onto the top shelf to a box labelled ‘ab wheel’.

Perfect, I think to myself, something to motivate me to start working on those abs at home.
I get to the counter to pay for my groceries.
The cashier (with a face mask) looks at me, points at the ab wheel box and shakes her finger at me: “No, no, no! Not allowed!”
“Not the ab wheel? Why not?” I plead, trying my whiniest and saddest voice.
“Not an essential, but come back on Friday,” she says. “Friday!”
