If someone had said to be me on New Year’s Eve this is what 2020 will have in store for you, I would have laughed out loud.
Fast forward and “who would have thought?” is probably my the most uttered line of the year.

I won’t lie, there have been a few hundred moments when I have thought; “Goodness I never thought I would be doing this in my lifetime.” Like, side hustles or making life changing decisions.
On March 29, as we entered level 5 lockdown, many of us felt pretty unsure about the future. Was this the end of the world?
That’s the mysterious wonder of life – we don’t know what tomorrow or next month is going to bring.
Seven months later and lockdown has either made you stronger, happier and changed the way you see life, or it has broken you.
Covid-19 may not have directly affected you, but it has undoubtedly affected our lifestyle, the economy, investor confidence, future plans and life savings.
A lot has changed.
The virus should have shifted your mindset and given you a new perspective on how you go about your daily routine.
2020 really is out with the old, and in with the new and it should have pushed and motivated you to change and take charge.
So through all this ‘moving and shaking’ I recently misplaced my purse on the same day I ran out of gas for the stove.
Already in a tizzy about the gas, in the back of my mind I thought my purse was at home.
But when I couldn’t find it at home I hit a panic and raced into the store where I remembered I had used it last.
Frazzled and panicked I asked management to check the CCTV cameras to give me a clue as to where I may have put it, which they kindly did.
In the interim I went back home and did another frantic sweeping search, only to discover it nicely wrapped in a blue shopping bag, sitting on the counter.
To cut a long story short, I finally got the gas bottle filled just before the shop closed.
Sometimes it’s not about chasing life goals or finding that happy medium but simply overcoming the obstacles you have created in your life.
Usually, at least in my case, easier said than done.
