Kiah Keet and Jodie du Plessis have joined forces to try and uplift the community by giving people a chance to sell their handmade/homemade goods, and to raise awareness for several non-profit organisations (NPOs)
Kiah says that they are keeping the market’s vendors predominantly local (Scottburgh, Umkomaas and Pennington) as they are trying to give people the opportunity to make a bit of money after the negative effect that Covid-19 has had on our community.
Two dates have been secured – December 5 at the Scottburgh Country Club and December 16 at Selborne Golf Course where The Kickstands will also be playing live music.
The markets will start at 11am and end at 4pm. All Covid-19 level 1 regulations will be followed throughout the day.

Just a reminder that that Marie Foord wants to establish the feasibility of a feral cat sterilisation clinic in Pennington in the near future (as it is currently kitten season).
Contact her at at 079 5253782 or Marie.Foord@sappi.com if you know of feral cats or if you are feeding feral cats which need to be sterilised. Once she has an estimate of numbers, she will take the next step.

Congrats to Natalie Nortje, the winner of the second round of Cottage Restaurant amateur singing competition, and to Tom Fairfoot who won the third round.
Mark Holing reported that 42 dogs received their rabies vaccinations last Tuesday. They enjoyed free Cool Dogs ice-cream for being such brave pooches!
Another successful vaccination day was also held last Wednesday.
Evangelist Brandon van Broekhuizen from Agape Church in Pennington advises that a prayer meeting will take place at Relton Hall in Pennington every Monday from 10am to 11am.
Those attending are asked to bring the Holy Bible, a mask and hand sanitiser.
I wish to extend gratitude to the people who help with donations of cat food for the strays, and those who help feed them.
They are Cynthia Fannin, Linda Smith, and Shaelean du Toit who donate food, and Cecile Thome, Ingrid de Beer and Claire Tilli who help with feeding the cats at Widenham. Thank you all.
