OPINION: ‘Angels need your help’

Our children's boxes will be handed out at a later stage this year.

DEAR Editor;

Last week, we had the privilege of handing over shoebox gifts to Mark Fairhead of Alexander Old Age Home.

Unfortunately, this year we will not be able to have our annual Christmas party for them because of Covid-19, but we know when they open their gifts it will bring joy.

We also handed boxes to Amanzimtoti Community Upliftment Project (AMCUP) in Illovo. We are always privileged to partner with AMCUP and we have being working together for almost 13 years now.

Our children’s boxes will be handed out at a later stage this year.

If people still want to donate towards our Christmas drive they are welcome to do so. We are still in need of filled children’s boxes.

There are loads of people in need in our local town and surrounding areas and everyday people phone for assistance.

It honestly has not been a good year for many people and we are only seeing the hardship of lockdown now.

We are always in need of furniture, bedding, clothing, kitchen utensils and electrical appliances.

Joanne’s Angels has been very blessed as our community always cares for those in need.

So let’s spread joy this year again in the midst of the coronavirus. We need you more than ever this year.

Thanks also go out to all who recently donated to us and to all the wonderful people who filled shoeboxes.

God bless you.
