DEAR Editor;
Surprise, surprise Ugu. December 24, 2020: Water in pipes after 38 days of what tricks?
Six years later, there is a sickening pattern to everything you do, say or deny – check the latest fiasco. You are failing.
You are causing additional expenses to residents and ruining livelihoods while drawing highly elevated salaries.
Is everyone even suitably qualified for positions held? Shame on all involved.
Ugu has a credit control act stating bills that remain unpaid will result in interest penalty charges and so on.
How about showing our objection to poor service delivery and producing our own ‘Rotten Service Act – RSA’ in protest? Fair?
Why should we pay a water basic rate of R189-88 (incl.) per month when Ugu gets into game mode and causes disruption to households yet again?
Personally, I am sick of those for gain ruining this country.
We have community groups – take note of the nonsense in your area. Record everything.
If water remains offline for three or more days, irrespective of supplied reason, then we have the right to withhold the basic water amount for the coming month to recoup our expenses over the past six years – for water tanks, pumps, filters, miscellaneous pipe work and fittings, electricity and purchase of bottled drinking water. The list is endless.
Ugu has cost a lot of additional expense to many while they have laughed heartily. They don’t seem to give a damn.
Ugu’s gravy train was filled for Christmas. The train will need topping up soon.
Are others as fed up with Ugu and prepared to do something to stop the ongoing nonsense? What say others?
