OPINION: ‘Our community needs more people like her’

I forget her name but she is very young. Something that stood out was how well she carried herself considering her age.

DEAR Editor;

I want to say thank you and commend one of your journalists.

A few weeks ago I had an issue in Marburg and she was sent out.

I forget her name but she is very young. Something that stood out was how well she carried herself considering her age.

She was very respectful and professional. She made us feel important and that we were being listened to. She spoke very well and expressed genuine concern about our well being.

To this day I am so impressed.

She even sent me a message to say that there was an article online done by the paper about our problem and sent me the link to the article.

This was the first time I felt like I was heard.

Thank you so much and thank you to her especially.

Our community needs more people like her. We look forward to seeing her around more often.

MARBURG RESIDENT

Editor’s note: Thank you for the kind words which go a long way in these difficult times. The journalist in question is Danielle Naidoo. She started early last month and is already proving to be an asset.
