DEAR Editor;
As a regular reader of the South Coast Herald, I have noticed there are a lot of complaints against Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.
I therefore felt obliged to write this letter of thanks, as well as to highlight some positive news.
I approached the municipality about the bad condition of our road recently and within a few days a whole team arrived and started working on all the problems, including potholes, storm water drains, kerbing and verge maintenance.
It is now a pleasure to drive in our area and I am proud of the work the municipality has done.
I would like to give my sincere thanks to the storm water management section of the Department of Human Settlements and Infrastructure for its assistance, excellent service and the fantastic job they did.
Thank you for going the extra mile.
The people responsible included Sizwe Mnuni (superintendent) and the team for the potholes; Wendy Mqadi (superintendent) community services – verge maintenance; Dalmou Nodladla (storm water supervisor) and the team Samuel Gcuma, Alfred Mbhele, Thulebonn Mbhele and Move Nhwnayo.
If we start building on a positive approach, we might encourage better overall service from the municipality.
ANGUS ERNEST BLACK
