OPINION: ‘Pensioner pleads for water’

Some pensioners don't have transport and we can't afford to buy any more water.

DEAR Editor;

I am writing this letter in great desperation, pleading for help. I am a pensioner living in Hibberdene for a while now.

We haven’t had water since November last year.

I can’t go up to the jo-jo tanks at the library as I am too old and haven’t got the strength to fill and hold the buckets and bottles of water while trying to keep my balance holding onto my walking stick.

Some pensioners don’t have transport and we can’t afford to buy any more water.

Please on behalf of all us oldies, we need your help.

Water is a human commodity and necessity, Covid-19 is killing us old folk.
