Let us all gather together and give a huge round of applause to the Johannesburg teacher who was combing the hair of learners’ before they entered school.
So, there is a video trending on social media of a teacher roughly combing the hair of boys outside a school gate.
I see a lot of people on the bitter Twitter streets including some “wanna be relevant” politicians and MEC of Education in Gauteng, Panyaza Lesufi, condemning this act.

Someone on Twitter even said, “I would bring hell to that school if they did that to my son”.
I see some people are twisting this and playing the race card again.
A lady said “we are fighting multi-racial schools to accept African hair as normal but this is being done in township schools.”
Aibo! This has nothing to do with the kind of hair or race.
This has everything to do with being neat and simply complying with school rules.
I feel like these parents who are against this teacher are the reasons why our teachers are being abused by pupils.
Most schools require a learner to come to school in full uniform, hair tidily pulled up or combed.
When I was growing up, in primary school we were not allowed to have hair at all and at black high schools you would only be allowed to grow hair in the second term of your final year.
I really do not get the reason why people are so upset with the teacher.
As parents, we have a duty to teach our kids how to dress and look neat even before they leave the house, so from me well done to that teacher.
I really commend her for doing a simple thing that parents of those boys failed to do.
And on to other news. What the heck is wrong with my South Coast people?
Why are people burning municipality offices and cars?
I know Ugu has failed us for years and they basically do not care, but what nonsense is this?
Izingolweni municipal offices were burnt on Tuesday night, cars torched, roads closed and stoning cars. Aibo!
Probably more than half of the South Coast has had no water, some people for months some people for more than a year, but this kind of act will not give us water.
When this is all over where will the people in Izing be getting services? Will it not be an issue to travel from Izing to Sheppie just to access municipal services.
I understand people are upset and have not had water and roads are damaged but why do more damage?
I also understand that protests are probably the only way to be heard but this kind of mentality needs to stop and right now.
I would rather be a keyboard warrior than going around burning buildings and behaving like a hooligan!
