From the Word: Allow God’s will to guide us

At the heart of our journey to being more Christ-like, we are to spread his gospel, the good news that is the love of God.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8, NIV).

Seeing as we have just come out of Easter weekend, Jesus spent the next 40 days evangelising and equipping his disciples for his ascension. We are called to be more like Jesus and reflect the true image of Christ.

At the heart of our journey to being more Christ-like, we are to spread his gospel, the good news that is the love of God.

At this stage the Holy Spirit was with Jesus, and was beginning its early stages of manifestation prior to Jesus leaving his followers with it on earth.

Let us carry on where Jesus left off and allow God’s will to guide us.
