OPINION: ‘A year on and Eskom office remains shut’

Every time I have visited in the last few months the office has been closed.

DEAR Editor;

For months and months the Eskom building has been shut in Shelly Beach, the reason being… Covid-19.

Just for the record, it’s been roughly a year since the pandemic become a reality in South Africa.

That’s a bit long to still be using Covid-19 as an excuse to not have anyone assisting the public.

I recently bought a house and what a story it was to get someone to help me with nitty-gritty of getting the account put into my name.

Every time I have visited in the last few months the office has been closed.

Surely by now, Eskom could have at least placed someone at reception to assist those who visit.

It’s just pure frustration and a waste of time from a customer’s point of view.

Just my 2c worth.
