Facebook is probably the worst social media influencer (if there is such a thing). While at that I need to speak to my editor about emoticons. We really need to use emoticons in our blogs.
With everything that has been happening, I’ve came across people who are tired of this ‘democratic country’ but mostly disgusted and repulsed by the government or the ruling party.

It’s quite sad to see, people are disappointed by the government and also so willing to do something about it.
Someone on Facebook said something along the lines, “I cannot wait for the elections, so I cannot vote ANC.” It sounded like a member of this party (ANC) had changed his mind about voting for the same party.
There was also someone saying something about, “let’s take the R350 then come election time we vote for another party, not them.”
People are fed up. If it’s not corruption, it’s fraud, the looting, court cases and protests left, right and centre.
It is depressing seeing the country like this and feeling like we have been let down by our leaders.
While going through these comments what actually caught my attention and scared me was a comment, “voting for a different party is not an issue, the problem is who counts the votes.”
Aibo! What on earth? Why didn’t I think about this? This comment got me thinking.
There were then replies to this and my oh my, what should we do? Should we vote or not?
If we vote, who are we going to vote for?
Honestly, it is very hard for some of us, we cannot trust politicians whether from the ruling party or opposition parties.
They have let us down a couple of times.
So, if the people counting the votes are the more important ones, then how do we know that the ruling party is supposed to be ruling.
It feels like one cannot trust any of them. Some say that they lie and can deliberately deceiving.
We have not had many political parties ruling the country but we surely have had a number of leaders that are not trustworthy, including prior to 1994.
How do we know what has been happening for the past 27 years?
I am not implying anything but if there are people fiddling with our votes then we are in a mess.
I am not trying to scare anyone or make anyone doubt their decision.
I also cannot wait for election time, even though I am still trying to figure out if I’ll vote or not.
