OPINION: ‘Uplifting stories help in times of hopelessness’

How uplifting to see that our very own are making waves, I am speaking in particular about Patrick Tumureebire.

DEAR Editor;

I thoroughly enjoyed last week’s edition especially with our local young talent being highlighted.

How uplifting to see that our very own are making waves, I am speaking in particular about Patrick Tumureebire.

I was rather shocked to discover that he was a local lad, and felt proud to be a resident of the South Coast knowing we have the potential to produce such talent.

These are the kinds of stories that make for a positive outlook on life, especially in the current devastation that we are all living in.

It was also great to see other uplifting stories by journalists Jenni Bipat and Fundi Mzobe, about the pageant finalist and the newly admitted attorney, Lwazi Gwacela.

It gives me hope for our youth and our community as a whole.

Keep the good work coming.
