Results of the Pennington Ski-Boat Club Potjiekos Competition are in. Overall first place went to Team Porra, with second place going to the Bandits.
The best pot was won by Sduduza and the best bread by Phil and Anne (surname not known).

* Azelle du Rand has been approached by Rainbows and Smiles supporting kids with cancer. They need 40 blankets. Last day to drop off blankets is Friday, October 8. Blankets can be dropped off at 2 Margaret Avenue or Azelle is happy to collect. Contact her on 084 4108864.
* This item is well in advance, but Heather Butler doesn’t want anyone to say they didn’t know about this. May Fair returns next year, on Sunday, May 1. Join in with classy art, collectables, and anything that will promote a country fair atmosphere. Contact Heather on 076 5418610.
* Thank you to Sagie and his team and Shamila Maharaj and her team of Sai devotees from Craigieburn who are responsible for making fresh sandwiches twice a week to be distributed to the patients in hospice care. A fruit is also given to patients, and all with the help from the Sai devotees.

* Another big thank you goes out to Nikaya and Vieveck Shaik and their cousin, Zarah Bandow from Craigieburn, who decided they would also like to do their bit for the community and took Khanya Hospice as their charity of choice. They donated adult nappies for patients as well as 100 masks for nursing staff.

You can donate cutlery, crockery, furniture, bedding, curtains, pianos, garden furniture and/or tools – or whatever you have to give away.
* Khanya Hospice would like to have a One Day Care Givers Course as a fundraiser and are looking for a sponsor for this. They have to do the printing, compiling of notes, printing of certificates, teas and coffees and something to eat for tea time, lunch and afternoon tea for about 15 people.
Sponsorship is sought for this education and training session. They would charge R500 per person to generate money which has been paid out the last two weeks for nursing care. If you would like to help, contact Neil on the above number as well.
