OPINION: Is dog food pricing a possible cause?

Dogs experience emotions just like us so treat them with the amount of dignity they deserve.

Looking at the photograph of the deceased dog, it is clear the death was deliberate and, since the carcass washed up on the beach, cause of death was by drowning. The sinister aspect of the case is that the dog’s had been hobbled, having it’s legs wired together so the drowning was premeditated. Question now is was the dog drowned because the owners can no longer afford to feed it or was it purely an instance of getting rid of the problem dog?

No matter which way the dog must have been frightened while it was be hogtied. Terrified beyond belief. No animal deserves such an end to it’s life, so please heed the message from the SCSPCA and go to them. Dogs experience emotions just like us so treat them with the amount of dignity they deserve. (Dog food factories, I hope that this is not a precursor of what may come, because of the ridiculously high prices of your products.)
