A big thanks to Robert and Charles Vorster of Scottburgh High School who recently spent most of their day painting the bollards at the entrance to Freeland Park.
Also learners,Teegan Angelique Gezane-Canham, Keziah-Lee Logan and Latoya Alexander who also gave up their private time to paint. You’ve done an awesome job so far in converting our lumps of concrete into something more attractive. Once the project is complete, we will find a structured way to get feedback from residents on their feelings towards the painting without provoking a ‘feeding frenzy’.
Thanks to Dhimil for the paint donation and to R&M Construction and Inyoni Homes for their assistance with the bollards.

Ruan Lotter of Pennington Community Watch (PCW) says thanks: To each and every person who volunteered their time in whatever form or shape it may be on that Monday! We had ladies looking after the standoff points by supplying refreshments. Anthony Cox from Selborne for sponsoring the delicious burgers. Paul Tedder from P&G for organising the 12 x 210ltr drums for barricading at such short notice. Eugene Dabner from PCW committee for sorting out the name lists. Saps, Gladiator, Jenson, and Ithuba, for your efforts in keeping us safe always. Then, lastly, the PCW committee you guys worked around the clock, and your efforts were mammoth, to say the least.
