OPINION: Pensioner appeals to Vodacom

"For those with no Telkom line and old cellphones, this signal is the only connection with relatives, friends, etc."

As pensioners at a retirement village in Port Shepstone, we have reported a lack of cellphone signal at the lower part of the village since before Easter, several times to the local Vodacom outlet, with no result to date.

The problem appears to be a non-functioning cellphone tower nearest to the village near the NG church. At the upper end of the village and in town there is full signal from other towers. The same thing occurred for weeks in December 2022.

For those with no Telkom line and old cellphones, this signal is the only connection with relatives, friends, etc.
Please help us, Vodacom repair team.
