OPINION: Funeral plans – so early in the morning?

"I wonder why these funeral policy peddlers want to spoil a perfectly happy morning, with their voices of dread and finality."

I really wonder just why these funeral policy peddlers want to spoil a perfectly happy and smiley morning, with their voices of dread and finality.
Obviously, their advertising department has decided that mornings are a good time to get their message across, as their receptive market is at home, albeit busy getting ready for work/school.

Also, a prime time to play on the emotions of using human emotion to reinforce their message.
After all, it is a lucrative market with good financial rewards for the company.

I was musing on the one line that says to call them, we are there for you. Cool bananas.
I have not called them, as I am covered by another company but having experienced how poorly some call centres function, I thought of the following scenario.

‘Joe’ phones and has to wait, more than once because the call gets cut each time.
Finally, the call goes through and rings the centre, and the poorly recorded and static infused voice says: ‘Welcome, this call is recorded for quality purposes’ and so on.
Really? Have you ever phoned in yourself?

You are caller number 33 and your call will be answered by the first available agent in approximately 45 minutes. Please hold for the first available agent.
Now you sit. Munch a sweet and keel over with a fatal heart attack. Life can be so cruel!
