OPINION: Muslim community receives praise for help

"If it was not for the help of the Muslim community and the anonymous donor, I do not know what we would have done for her."

On behalf of our family and friends, I would like to thank the Muslim community on the South Coast and an anonymous donor in particular, for providing the finances in such a caring way in order for the cremation of Anna van der Colff, also known as Ouma Grietjie, aged 91, to take place.

Thanks also to friends Pierre and Debbie van Niekerk who were so helpful and kind during this difficult time.
Ouma Grietjie was many things to us, including being our mother, mother-in-law and granny.
If it was not for the help of the Muslim community and the anonymous donor, I do not know what we would have done for her.
Many, many thanks.
