OPINION: Stalled motorist says thank you

"I was amazed at the number of people who stopped to offer assistance."

When my car stalled at the exit from Southcoast Mall on September 4 at 16:30 and wouldn’t start again, I was amazed at the number of people who stopped to offer assistance to a grey-haired, elderly woman! They all did.

A young gentleman in a white car stopped the traffic, did a U-turn, and came and jump-started my car, so that I could be on my way home to where I was staying.

To him I extend a very big thank you.
