It’s back to school, back to normal… with rain. Some 85mm of rain was recorded in Pennington last weekend.
A horrible incident occurred recently. A dog was poisoned in Barracouta Bend, Pennington. The owner noticed the dog was behaving strangely and rushed it to the vet, but it was too late. Condolences to the owner of this precious fur baby.
Nicky Koekemoer of 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue thanks Umdoni Christian Academy for a recent donation. It was a primary school initiative brought to life by Tanya Clarke with the full support of the principal, Jenny Page, and all the teachers.
Nicky was given the opportunity to speak to the children, and it was wonderful to see how many of them had animals of their own that were dearly loved.
A competition was launched with a prize for the class that brought in the most food for 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue. Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes won. A big thank you to the staff and the parents, but mostly to the children who did their utmost to feed the animals.
