A certain shop on the coast has suddenly increased the prices of products.
For example, pineapples’ old price was R10, now it’s R16-99. Mangoes were R10, now R11-99, with bananas between R12 and R14, now R24, and so on.
If I go into the shop and take a pie without paying, that would be considered stealing. I’d probably land up in court.
Is taking hard-earned money from a customer not stealing?
They will probably argue that I don’t have to buy it, saying ‘go somewhere else’. And that’s exactly what I suggest.
