
It almost time for the Keep Scottburgh Beautiful Association annual golf day fundraiser. The public is encouraged to support this awesome fundraiser, to be held at Scottburgh Golf Club on September 19. Tee off is at 10:00. It is R3000 per fourball, including cart. Hole sponsorships from R2 000 to R3 000. Proceeds go towards helping to make a cleaner and greener town, so here’s your chance to get involved and be part of the solution. • Clansthal has announced a new drop off point for recycling at the open area under the power lines on Palmkloof Road. Recyling dates are September 17, October 8 and 22, November 5 and 19 and December 10.
• Support local artists in the Musicals in Dance production. This event will be held at Scottburgh High on September 12 at 18:30 and September 13 at 14:00. Food stalls and doors opens at 12:00. Tickets are available at Scottburgh Health & Beauty Institute and Scottburgh High.
• The Hope Fundraising Festival, brought to the people of the South Coast by District 49 Child & Youth Care Centre supported by Lightness Productions, will light up the Blue Marlin All Inclusive Seascape in Scottburgh on October 4. Under the banner, ‘We care through love and protection’, this community celebration seeks to rally families, businesses and volunteers for an afternoon of sport, music and joyful giving, all to secure vital funds for children who have endured abuse, neglect or abandonment. More details will be revealed in time for this fundraiser.
• A 5km Colour Fun Walk for breast cancer awareness will be held at the market on Scottburgh Marine Terrace on October 5. More details to come. Vendors booking: 072 5078773.
• The Mongoose Tea Garden at TC Robertson Nature Reserve in Scottburgh is open every Wednesday. The cost is R50 per person and includes coffee and tea and five snacks. For more information, contact 082 6227699.
• There is now crocheting for women with Wool on Wheels. If you are a crochet lover or want to learn to crochet this is the group of ladies to join.
