Man charged with drug possession
According to Margate police spokesperson, Sergeant Sibu Ncane, police and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality law enforcement recently conducted rural safety operations around the Gcilima, Nkampini, and Bhokodisa area outside of Margate.
A 25-year-old man recently appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of drugs.
According to Margate police spokesperson, Sergeant Sibu Ncane, police and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality law enforcement recently conducted rural safety operations around the Gcilima, Nkampini, and Bhokodisa area outside of Margate.
Ncane said a 25-year-old man was searched and found in possession of heroin capsules. “He was arrested and appeared in court on May 19 on a charge of possession of drugs,” said Ncane.
Margate Station Commander, Brigadier William Slabbert confirmed that there will be further operations to target criminals, especially drug peddlers.
