UAC runners complete Comrades Marathon

The race distance was about 90.2km.

The Ugu Athletics Club (UAC) was represented by 19 runners at the recent Comrades Marathon. The chairperson of UAC, Pardon Mathebula said 14 runners finished in good time.
He added that while three runners did not start, two did not finish the race due to injuries.

“Ugu Athletics Club has two runners who received green numbers, these are runners who have completed 10 Comrades Marathons. However, the best performance came from none other than Menzi Tshayiza who finished in his personal best of 6:46:45 and received a silver medal,” said Mathebula.
