Bible students of Grace Ministries Port Shepstone make history
Their hard work has paid off.
Grace Ministries Port Shepstone is proud of its Sunday School students who excelled once again in the Baptist Union Scripture Exams commonly known as the Bible Challenge.
This exam is written nationally by more than 200 churches, with more than 2200 sitting for these exams.
Eighteen students from Grace Ministries wrote this year. There were three distinctions and 15 honours of which nine children came in the top 10 in the country.
Pastor Leon Pillay thanked the teachers for their sincere dedication in teaching the various lessons and making sure that the children were adequately prepared for the exams.
They are Dhashnee Pillay, Maheshni Naidoo, Tellisha Bojraj and Rachael Smithwick.
This was indeed a great achievement and a milestone for Grace Ministries.
The church has had students writing these exams for nearly 11 years now and this is the first time so many have placed in the top 10.
Tershaliya Pillay, in Grade 12, achieved full marks and placed first in the country.
All students received certificates, trophies and vouchers.
The Moses family floating trophy was awarded to Christelle Pillay for being the overall most outstanding student during the year.
