Lions clubs from Ramsgate and Port Shepstone bring comfort and care

All those who played a part were thanked.

Local Lions club members, in conjunction with Matla A Bana, Margate Saps and the community, packed a whopping 150 care bags for girl child rape survivors.

Matla A Bana is a national non-profit child protection charity organisation focused on supporting children who report rape and abuse against them.

“These packs are designed to give peace of mind to the child after an incident has taken place,” said Peter Lancashire, president of the Ramsgate Lions Club. “We are thankful to be able to take part in such a crucial project that’s desperately needed.”

He thanked all the volunteers, Saps Margate, as well as Lions from Ramsgate and Port Shepstone clubs for their super efforts.

“The comfort packs were truly a labour of love. Grateful thanks to all who volunteered, some coming from as far as Durban. Thanks also to Old Mutual South Africa who made this possible,” said Peter.
