They experienced a range of adventure and teambuilding activities, the breath taking views on the 80m spectacular suspension bridge and a guided game drive.
The Durban Convention Bureau, in partnership with South Coast Tourism and Investment Enterprise (SCTIE) hosted the Meetings Africa 2026 post-tour experience.
This allowed hosted international buyers to explore the destination’s offerings after the successful trade show and exhibition, from February 23 to 25 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
CEO of SCTIE Vusumuzi Sibiya said it was an honour to host seven international buyers representing India, Kenya, Nigeria and Zimbabwe on February 27, to experience the incredible natural beauty, including site inspections at some of top conference venues.

“They also got to explore a range of our adventure and teambuilding activities such as the thrilling zipline tour, breathtaking views on the 80m spectacular suspension bridge and guided game drive. Meetings Africa is Africa’s leading business events trade show, owned by South African Tourism (SA Tourism) through the South African National Convention Bureau. We were proud to be one of the 325 exhibiting companies at Meetings Africa 2026 to showcase the KZN South Coast Meetings Incentive Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) sector to over 300 hosted buyers.”
Sibiya added that this annual business and high-profile platform allowed them to connect, collaborate and form partnerships with global stakeholders under the theme: ‘20 Years of Connecting Africa to the World’.
The minister of tourism, Patricia de Lille said that tourism is a vital driver of economic growth.
“Business events are central to this growth story. The MICE sector is a high value driver of economic impact. It stimulates demand across accommodation, transport, catering, creative industries, and small enterprises. It brings decision makers, investors, and innovators into our cities. It drives geographic spread and supports job creation across provinces.”
Sibiya concluded that the KZN South Coast is rapidly emerging as a premier meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions destination, offering a unique blend of modern venues, breath taking natural beauty, and rich cultural heritage.
He added that with world-class golf courses, pristine Blue Flag beaches and diverse adventure and eco-tourism experiences, the region is an ideal location for business events and corporate retreats.
