Margate boxer ready for big night at Wild Coast Sun

Margate’s rising junior middleweight Jordan Pearce steps into the spotlight on May 9.

The Battle at the Coast is set to bring boxing action to the Wild Coast Sun on Saturday, May 9, with Margate’s own Jordan Pearce taking on Thabiso Makhanya.

Pearce, who has featured in previous Herald reports as one of the South Coast’s most promising prospects, has been preparing in Gauteng under the guidance of former South African professional boxer, Brian Mitchell.

Roland van Rooyen of Box360 Movement has urged South Coasters to get behind the local fighter and show their support on the night.

With a strong home crowd expected, Pearce will be aiming to deliver an impressive performance. Tickets are now available on iTickets.co.za
