Karate tourney a hit

There is a lot of young talent coming through.

THE third annual Ugu karate regional development tournament took place last weekend.

Only those affiliated to Karate South Africa, Karate KwaZulu-Natal and the Ugu region were eligible to compete.

The benefit of belonging and paying affiliations will enable karateka to enter at provincial level and then be able to be selected to national level.

These associations are the only recongnised karate organisations able to award provincial colours in South Africa.

This karate tournament encourages the youth of the South Coast, stretching from Port Edward to Scottburgh, to learn and practise the discipline of the martial art of karate.
