Karate kid Mahish makes headlines

His most exceptional accomplishment was winning a gold medal for South Africa at the recent Mozambican Open Championships.

MAHISH Panday is a 16-year old aspiring karate champion, who has been making headlines with his unwavering dedication to the sport. He has recently been awarded KZN colours in karate for the third consecutive year. Mahish placed first for Ugu District in the 16 to 17 years division for both kata and kumite at the SA Open Karate Championship held recently at The University of KwaZulu-Natal.

His most exceptional accomplishment was representing South Africa at the Mozambican Open Championships in August, where he placed first in his division for kumite and scooped a gold medal for South Africa. Mahish received an award for his outstanding achievements at a prestigious banquet. Mahish says his ultimate goal is to represent South Africa at the WKF world championships.
