The KBA Sevens League takes place from November 2-6, with the men’s team at home on Wednesday, November 4.

WINNERS of the Uvongo Spar drawn fours last Friday were Steve Rennie, John Keppler, Philip Audibert and Trevor Heywood.
Runners-up were Annette Payne, Clive Edmundson, Peter Bausek and Merle Davies.
Session went to Denzel Massyn, Gary Hess, Lenie Geyer and Rennie Geyer.
The annual Oktoberfest will take place this Saturday, October 31.

MARGATE CC
RASSIE Erasmus, Olwen Gibbs and Sandy Ferguson won the Shelly Beach SuperSpar open trips last week.
Runners-up were Denzil Massyn, Gary Hess and Lucas Barnard. Session prize went to Kobie Stander, Clive Edmundson and Bill Eccles.
Clive Edmundson was the lucky 50/50 draw winner.
The next open trips will be on November 17, and the last Engel & Volkers men’s fours on November 20.
PORT EDWARD
HALLOWEEN Quiz will be this Friday, October 30, from 4.30pm. Cost is R30 which includes a burger.

PORT SHEPSTONE
THE winners of the recent Business Challenge were in fact The Bell Boys, namely skip Duncan Randall, third Hew Hodgson, second Renzo van Niekerk and lead Stan Penny.
They had 19 points and won on a count-out by one shot. Trapezium Design were the runners-up.
RIVERSIDE
THE Fruit &Veg mixed 2-4-2 will be played this Friday, October 30.
The next ‘Pony Evening’ is on Friday, November 6, starting with Twilight Bowls from 3pm, followed by a fun quiz and a bring and braai.
Sadly, Mike Taylor is in hospital. Members wish him a speedy recovery.
The monthly jumble sale will be held this Saturday, October 31 from 6.30am.
Tabs in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 1.45pm for 2pm.
SOUTHBROOM
WITH the green re-opening this Friday, October 30, a Fazenda 2-4-2 will be played, at 1.30pm for 2pm.
The men’s and women’s Sevens League teams will be practising today (Thursday, October 29). Skips will be organising this.
Saturday’s tabs in starts at 2pm for 2.30pm.
Please remember the change of competition days – which will now be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

SOUTHPORT
WINNERS of the Dr D’Arcy men’s trips last Thursday were Donnie Roussouw, Richard Cochman and Bob MacFarlane.
Runners-up were Brian Marriott, Fanie Strydom and Artur Lopes. The second session prize went to visitors from Hibberdene, Bez Bezuidenhout, Danie Human and Bruce Hoyer.
Our Hibberdene friends will be missed when their green opens again.
The mixed trips 3-2-1 held last Sunday, was won by Geoff Kelleher, Jane Massam and Jan Scholz, with Brian Marriott, Molly Williams and Bob Moroney runners-up.
Jan is a new bowler who was only given membership from October 1. Further he was only called in 20 minutes before the start to fill in for someone who had not turned up. Quite a performance!
The club’s singles champion, Cosmos Gumede, was involved in an unfortunate ‘hit and run’ on his bicycle and has been left with a damaged right hand.
Long-standing members Ray Barkway and Maunie Beckerling are wished a speedy recovery after recent surgery.
THE BELL
DUNCAN Randall teamed up with Barry and Desiree Krause to win the Jaxx/Venture Inn open trips played last week.
Runners-up were Hew Hodgson, Renzo van Niekerk and Martin Frizelle.
Second session winners were Jacque Snyman, Sheenagh Dempster and Winnie Hess.
Winners of the Fruit and Veg City 2-4-2 were Everal Morrison and Tammy Gibbons. Runners-up were Desiree Krause and Duncan Randall. Second session went to Peet van Rooyen and Susan Fourie.
TWENI
RAIN washed out the Wimpy women’s pairs which was to have been played last Thursday.
Next week sees the KBA Sevens League taking place so there won’t be any other competitions. The club handicap singles is in full swing.
A special general meeting has been called for Wednesday, November 18 to discuss the process of new bowlers joining the club.
Please make every effort to attend.
VILLAGE
B GREEN is now ready for play, after a long wait. Don’t forget tabs in before 1.30pm and civvies during the week, whites on Saturdays.
It is hoped that the nominated men’s and women’s pairs championships will start by the middle of November.
