WINNERS of the Port Edward SuperSpar two-bowl trips last Wednesday were Steve Rennie, Aubrey Hood and Hazel Delaney, with runners-up Chris Forward, Pam Cole-Cook and John Meyer.
Second session went to Rob Lyle, Phillipa Rowney and Derek Wicks and the 50/50 board to Estelle Carter.
Next sponsored competition is the Indulgence Beauty Salon women’s pairs on November 25.
MARGATE BC
THE annual ‘Toys for Joy’ fund-raising dinner/dance with a Mexican theme will take place on Saturday, November 28.
Tickets are no longer available but those who have booked are reminded to bring a soft toy for distributing to the underprivileged.
The teams for the KBA Saturday League are posted on the notice boards. The closing date has been extended for the various club competitions.

HEDLEY Meek, Val Smith and Joan Fowler won the Dolphin Pub & Grill open trips last week.

PORT EDWARD
JOIN in the fun this Saturday, November 21 at 1.30pm, tabs in, followed by a ‘different’ Money or the Box, for only R5.
The Robin Hood mixed trips were won by Barry Payn, Leigh Warner and Estelle Carter. Runners-up were Hedley Meek, Sergio Ruperto and Val Smith.

PORT SHEPSTONE
SATURDAY League started off in wet and overcast conditions and quite chilly too. Sheppie teams had mixed fortunes.
The women played Margate A and AMBC. They lost 2-3 to AMBC but beat Margate A 5-0 to give them seven points after the first two rounds.
Unfortunately PSCC A men lost 0-5 to Margate A at home but PSCC B men won 3-2 away to The Bell B.
The traditional Rhodie day was held at Umtentweni BC last Sunday. All seven rinks were filled and, while the weather was cold and overcast and windy, at least it stayed dry.
This, however, did not put a damper on things and after a salutation to the Rhodesian flag the games were played in a most jovial manner.
RIVERSIDE
GOOD bowling to the club’s Saturday League teams. There’s a fun day at the club this Sunday, November 22 at 9.30am.
Prospective bowlers can join members for a morning of fun bowls and a bring and braai. Tabs in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1.45pm.
SOUTHBROOM
WELL done to Ivan Hosken, Hazel Hosken, Norman Isherwood and Winston van Greunen, who won the Mariners open fours last Thursday.
Runners-up were Paul Botes, Hein Bester, Trebla Lansdell and Brent Addison.
First session went to Hans Wijtman, Elliot Nqoko, Deks Zunker and Monika Zunker and the second session to Steve Rennie (who also won the 50/50), Aubrey Hood, Glen Allen and John Keppler.

‘Bowls and Braai’ this Sunday, November 22 at 8.30am for bowlers. Please bring your own meat and a salad to share with all. Braaiers need to join in at about 11.30am.
SOUTHPORT
THE South Coast Herald sponsored 2-4-2 played last Thursday was won by Tickey and Denise Nel with Jan and Una van Eeden as runners-up.
The session prize was won by Peet van Rooyen and Susan Fourie. The next tournament is the Dr D’Arcy sponsored men’s trips today (19th).
The Harbour View SuperSpar women’s trips is on November 26.
TWENI
WINNERS of the Schooners Restaurant mixed trips last week were Jan Huygen, with George and Marie Pick.
Runners-up were Sharolyn Dacey, Steve O’Moore and Ann-Marie Gibbon. The second session was won by Tony Korb, Peter Marsh and Karin Delaney.
The finals of the club mixed pairs was won by Molly Williams and Tony Aveyard, from Geoff Kelleher and Sheenagh Dempster.
The few members who braved the bad weather on the last day of club bowls before the annual shut down had fun afternoon.
VILLAGE
THE draws for the nominated men’s and women’s championships are up at the boma. The first round is this week, with the finals to be completed by December 12.
KBA diaries are available from Hazel at R20. She is also collecting R60 for the KBA 300 Club.
Don’t forget the boma branch for ‘get togethers’ on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4pm till 6pm.
