Final volleyball knockout tourney soon
The end of year banquet and prize-giving will follow the knockout tournament.
THE Port Shepstone Volleyball Association (PSVA) will sponsor and host the final knockout tournament for 2015. The tournament will be played at the Marburg Sports Complex next Saturday, December 5 from 10am. It will be a closed tournament with entry limited to only registered and affiliated premier league teams.
The draws and fixtures will be completed before the tournament, so all games will commence at the stipulated starting time. The end of year banquet and prize-giving will follow the knockout tournament. Trophies will be awarded to the knockout winners and runners-up, as well as the premier league winners, runners-up and third placed team. Special awards, such as the most valuable player, best setter and best attacker for 2015 will be decided by popular vote and presented at the prize-giving banquet.
All teams are invited to attend the banquet, with braai packs, rolls, salads and coal provided to each team by the association.
Teams are asked to provide their own braai stands and utensils. Teams are requested to confirm with the (PSVA) executive committee if they will be attending the banquet and must confirm the number of braai packs they require to assist with the catering requirements.
Volleyball supporters and fans are urged to attend the tournament and help promote the game of volleyball in Port Shepstone.
