Umtentweni dominate KBA Saturday League

KINGFISHER BOWLING ASSOCIATION

THE winning Saturday League teams for 2015 were Port Edward (women’s first league), The Bell ‘B’ (women’s second league), Umtentweni (women’s third league) and Umtentweni (men’s fours league).

A reminder that the men’s league will start again on January 16 and that council meeting is at Margate Bowling Club on January 18 at 9.30am.

If you haven’t already done so please send your 300 Club lists ASAP so the first draw can be done at the council meeting.

BANNERS REST

THE Indulgence Beauty Salon open pairs played last Wednesday was won by Steve and Jenny Rennie. Runners-up were Rod Phelps and Amorie Schoëler.

Second session went to Dave Hume and John Keppler, and the 50/50 board to Leonie Bloem.

Next sponsored competition is the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs this Sunday, January 3.

Please note that the open pairs for January 8 will now be played on January 15.

PORT EDWARD

GOOD bowling to all and a happy New Year. Happy birthdays to Nova Allen (3rd), Roy Simpson (6th) and Jeanie West (7th).

Duties: bar – Dave Banks; tabs – George Snyman; tea – Hazel Delaney; eats – Mary and Leigh Warner.

A reminder that tabs in on Wednesdays and Saturdays is at 1.30pm for 2pm.

SOUTHBROOM

HAPPY New Year to members and fellow bowlers. The New Year’s Eve party at the club takes place from 8pm onwards.

No candlelight bowls but the braai fires will be lit and plenty of toe tapping music will be ongoing throughout the night.

Please bring your own meat and a salad to share with others.

TWENI

THE green will be re-opened this Saturday, (2nd) with a fun game. Let’s have a full house.

The club wishes all a very healthy, happy and prosperous 2016 with much good bowling.

Next competition is the South Coast Herald men’s pairs next Tuesday (5th) at 9am.
