HIBISCUS Coast Darts Association held its year-end banquet at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre recently.
Competition was a lot closer between the various clubs this year, with no one club dominating, unlike in previous years.
Rainbow Darts Club showed their class, though, winning two of the four league trophies on offer.
The other two were won by Taj Darts Club and Lions Darts Club.
Individually, Rakesh Ramdhun dominated, achieving an impressive nine 180s during the 2015 season. He also featured in most of the knockout competitions.
As well as some solid performances from the regular veterans, there were quite a few new players who emerged and it was good to see their development.
The association commends them on their efforts and achievements.
The association’s annual general meeting will be held at the Taj Hotel in Marburg on Saturday, January 30 at 3pm.
All new clubs and players are welcome to join. A fun-filled, action-packed season is expected in 2016.
Those who don’t have a club but are interested in learning and playing the game can contact Melvyn Pillay at 084 4455691.
