Junior cricket on the go in Sheppie

The club is looking for coaches.

YOUNGSTERS keen on furthering their cricket are invited to join in when the Port Shepstone Country Club junior cricket season gets going at the country club this Friday, January 22.

The U13 Glenwood Festival will be played in Durban in mid-February and so it’s time to start practising for that and obviously selection of a team to play in the festival.

Practice times for U9 players are from 1.30pm to 2.30pm every Friday, while practices for the U11 and U13 groups are from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

If enough interest is shown in an U15 group then a coaching time will be communicated to those involved accordingly.

“Please don’t miss out on an exciting year of friends, fun, and most importantly, cricket,” said U13 team manager Angie Bormann.

All queries can be directed to Angie at pondo@telkomsa.net but parents are invited to bring their child or children and try it out to see what it’s all about.

On another note, the club is looking for coaches to come and assist with coaching every Friday.

They would need to be at least Level 1. The position of head coach also needs to be filled. These are paid positions.

To find out more, contact Angie at 072 6073014.
