Audi A4 – feel the progress

THE new Audi A4 Sedan has been described as more powerful, more efficient and more intelligent.

It impresses with a path-breaking synthesis of technology and aesthetics.

The innovative Audi virtual cockpit, with its high-resolution 12.3 inch LCD screen and the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound, sets inspiring accents in the interior and offers luxury-class standards.

In terms of safety, efficiency and attractive design, the Audi Matrix LED headlights divide the LED high beam into many tiny, light-emitting diodes which shine through three reflectors.

The control unit switches the reflectors on and off as needed or can dim each of them in 64 steps.

They always provide high-precision illumination and the best possible light output without requiring a pivoting mechanism.

It sets completely new standards when it comes to sound.

The optional Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound offers a fascinating innovation – a sound that enables listeners to experience spatial height.

This is achieved by using four additional loudspeakers, two in the dashboard and two in the A-pillars.

At the heart of the sound system is a 755-watt, 16-channel amplifier which controls the 19 loudspeakers.

It’s a sound experience that has never been available in cars before. The music sounds as if it was played in a concert hall.

The Audi A4 has four engines, based on one principle – less fuel consumption and more power.

Compared to the preceding model, fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 21 percent, while power was increased by up to 25 percent.

For the first time S tronic transmission can be combined with front wheel drive in the A4 Sedan.

Powerful, efficient and state-of-the-art, the engines of the all-new Audi A4 include the 1.4T (110 kW), 2.0 TFSI (140 kW), 2.0 TDI (140 kW) and 2.0 TFSI quattro (184 kW).

The instrument cluster in the form of a high-resolution 12.3-inch LCD screen presents information in a comprehensive and versatile manner.

The Infotainment mode is dominated by a central window while the rev counter and speedometer are displayed as small round elements.

The classic view focuses on the instruments. The central window with the navigation map or the telephone, radio or audio lists is correspondingly smaller here.

Audi Centre Margate dealer principal Johan Kinsey-Ahlers and his team are eagerly and excitedly awaiting the imminent arrival of the fantastic new A4, the next generation B9.

“The progress in this new A4 is intense by all standards and comparison. Technologies developed throughout the top models in the Audi stable have now also filtered through to this exciting new A4/B9 – technologies not seen in this class of vehicle before,” he said.

He was sure these developments would filter through to more and more of the product range.

These same technologies are available in a number of recently launched new models from the rest of the Audi range, like the Dauntless new Audi Q7, Audi TT and also seen on the new Passat in the VW stable.

“This is the next step, the next generation in an ever and faster changing motoring world,” he said.
