Foxy Norton takes the helm at Tweni Tennis Club
There have been a few changes to the committee.
THANK you to all the members who made the effort to attend the annual general meeting at Umtentweni Tennis Club last Saturday.
The out-going committee is thanked for a job well done last year and the incoming committee is wished the best of luck for their term of office in 2016.
Chairman is Foxy Norton with Dan Dimitriu as vice-chairman, Anne Payn as secretary, Isabeau le Roux remains treasurer and committee members are Jean Marx and Matt Holmes.
John Silk was on duty and brought that wonderfully delicious gingerbread of his as usual, as well as buns and sarmies.
Heloise Cloete has now become a member and members are very pleased to have her join the club. She hardly needs a welcome as she has been a regular visitor for a while and members are happy to have you as part of the club at last, Heloise.
Members wish Keith Gatley a happy sojourn up in Johannesburg and look forward to his return in a few months’ time.
Members are sorry to hear (and see) that Pam Grobler is experiencing problems with her back and hope that it will all be sorted out soon. Dave Whateley has a shoulder problem and has also been missed on the courts.
There will be a Round Robin on Saturday, February 13 starting at 2.45pm. Please indicate on the lists up at the club whether you will be staying for the braai afterwards. Visitors are welcome to join in.
Saturday duty: February 6 – Mervyn Tarboton; February 13 – Pam Grobler (Round Robin).
