THE first event of SupaDrift 2016 took place at Red Star Raceway in Delmas last Saturday.
Brendan Puren, Gavin Puren of GT Logistics and Puren Plant Hire and Shane Gutzeit (Dezzi’s) competed at the event, and did extremely well!
Shane led the qualifications, with Gavin 11th and Brendan 13th.
Unfortunately, Brendan had some mechanical problems with his car, but Gavin rocketed upwards, almost to the top.
The final tandems were between Shane and Gavin, and they took first and second place respectively for the event.
Gavin was also awarded ‘Driver of the Day’ and brought back two trophies.
