ANITA Scheepers won the women’s comp at Margate Country Club on 36 points last Tuesday, by one from Margaret Taylor.
The Wobblers’ alliance saw Richard Plaskitt, James Tutt and Jan Richter take first place on 85 points.
Thursday’s comp was won by Charlie Hartman on 40 points, pipping Mike Bond by one.
Comfort Cool sponsored the business day which was won by
Heber de Beer, Hennie van der Bergh, Deon Meyer and Johan Neethling on 100 points (two to count, except 8 and 15 all to count).
Counted out in second were Sandi Johnston, Shannon Gottlieb and Connie McArthur.
Saturday’s betterball was won by Arthur Ehlert and Jim Finn on 46 points, by one from Sbu Ntozakhe and Victor Mbhele.
In the women’s comp, top honours went to Hilary Hendry and Jean Page on 41 points, on a count out from Agnes Spielmann and Lizzie Meyer.
Southbroom goes Swiss
CHRIS Miller and Olliver Ransome cleaned up at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday, winning the comp on 51 points.
Heather Anderson and Mari Fielden took the laurels in the women’s section, carding 48 points to count out Candida Amm and Shelley Myers.
The Swiss Day last Saturday was well supported, and vibrant.
Winners were Janet Humphrey and Allyson Thomas on 44 points.
Bob Thomas and John Fox won the men’s comp on 47 points.
Frans is Coffin Dodger king
FRANS Fremouw scored 42 points at Port Edward Country Club last Tuesday to win the Coffin Dodgers comp, by one from Ernst Vogelsanger and James Fergus.
Roelf Craig won the Wednesday comp on 43 points, while James Fergus won the Chicken Run last Friday.
Saturday’s comp was won by Pat McCormick and Ernst Vogelsanger on +9, on a count out from Marcelle Scott and Rita Kinghorn.
Career best from Kevin
KEVIN Kandasamy won the Auto Exec monthly mug at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday on nett 62 off his 12 handicap.
Division winners were Nick Wattrus (A – nett 70), Daan Swanepoel (B – nett 69), Doug Shepherd (C – nett 69), Abel Yeeranna (Stableford).
Left-hander Phil Myburgh produced a flawless 39 points to win last Wednesday, edging out Roly Shaw and Brett Pollington by one.
