SIX months ago, a group of cycling friends from Port Shepstone decided they needed a new challenge.
And so they began training for one of the country’s most famous races, the 109km Cape Argus.
They call themselves the ‘Shifters’, a play on words on the faster paced sport of drifting.
Of the 10 most were doing the race for the first time. The good news was that they all finished quite comfortably.
Now they’re aiming to ride an event in Durban. And will definitely be doing the Argus again next year.
