WHEN it comes to limited overs cricket, the Knockout Knights have dominated things on the local scene.
Last Sunday they trounced Sezela to win the 50-over competition, to go with the T20 trophy they won earlier in the season.
Against Sezela, the Knights won the toss and chose to bat.
They got off to a shaky start and, at one stage, were 36-3.
Yacoob Patel came in and, together with Junaid Mansur, steadied the ship.
Yacoob scored a cracking 102. Junaid made 32 and Ebrahim Hatya weighed in with 50.
Ahmed Moosa made a quick 28 not out and the final score was 297 for 8.
The Sezela bowlers, after the initial breakthrough, simply had no answers thereafter.
On the bowling side, Saeed Patel rattled Sezela with three for 18. Muhammad Altaaf picked up three for 31.
Sezela were bowled out for 177.
Knights’ management thanked all the players, past players and supporters for their contributions.
