BANNERS REST
DAVE Hume, Vi Pells and Chris Forward won the Wild Coast Golden Moon Spur mixed trips last Wednesday.
Runners-up were Rod and Mary Phelps and David Pratten. Second session went to Maureen la Grange, Ray Martin and Andreas van der Linde, and the 50/50 board to Mike Carter.
Next sponsored competitions are the Wild Coast Golden Moon Spur mixed pairs on Friday April 1, and the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs on Sunday, April 3.
HIBBERDENE
THE nominated mixed trips played last Friday was won by Arthur and Miriam Seager, assisted by Louise Shone. Runners-up were Bernard Carpenter, Cheryl Knight and Colleen Milne.
Session prize was awarded to John Mett, Roy Garrett and Martin Rautenbach. Thanks to Re/Max for the sponsorship.
There is no competition this Friday (25th) as it is Good Friday.
MARGATE BC
DORA Vosloo and Helen Proctor won the Manaba Kwikspar women’s 2-4-2 played last Friday.
Runners-up were Sharon Scheinberg and Liz Edwards. Session to Angie Gold and Norma Louw. 50/50 board was won by Dora Vosloo.

MARGATE CC
WINNERS of the Engel & Volkers day were Neels Boshoff, Hein Bester, Hans Wijtman and Chris Faber.
Runners-up were Jokkie van Buuren, Gino Allilovic, Rob Lyle and Mike Gover. Leaders after the third round are Hans Wijtman and his team on 63 points.

MUNSTER
THE St Patrick’s Day comp, sponsored by Port Edward SuperSpar, went off well despite there being no electricity.
Winners were Tommie and Louise Dry, with Joan Lindley. Runners-up were Sergio and Pat Ruperto, with Val Smith.
The Krafty Chameleon Coffee Shop fun day will be held on Friday, April 1 at 3pm. Dress code is casual, multi-colours.
Normal starting time at 1.30pm for 2pm from April 5.
NOMADS
THIRTY players, including six visitors, joined in for the outing at Southbroom BC last Sunday. Prizes were sponsored by Orange River Wine Cellars.
Winners were Kobus Faber, Myra Doubell and Hans van der Walt, followed by Franci Philpott, Marie Pick and Brent Addison.
AGM will be at Margate BC on Sunday, April 10.
PORT EDWARD
WINNERS of the Beach Bobbies mixed trips were Piet Heunis, Rina Fourie and Val Smith.
Runners-up were Barry Payn, Trevor Smith and Phillipa Rowney. Session winners were Mike and Estelle Carter, with Leoni Booth.
Winners of the Warwick ‘development day’ were Frank Foley, Derek Wicks, Wally Lumley and Harry Goslett. Runners-up were Myra Doubell, Lynn Walton, Philippa Makepeace and Janita Roos.

The Payn Family Memorial Drawn fours is this Saturday (26th). Registration at 1.30pm. All Port Edward members to bring a plate of eats to share, please.

PORT SHEPSTONE
IN the KBA mixed pairs played last weekend, the following teams from Port Shepstone Country Club won their sections, namely Eddie Fann and Gill Thiele, Roy Anderson and Caroline Harris, Brian and Jenny Rawlins.
Correction from last week: In the women’s KBA mid-week league, the team was skipped by Sharon Bischoff and not Jenny Rawlins.
Last Friday’s business day, sponsored by Halfway Toyota, was won by the Birdie Boys, namely Murray Ross, his wife Julie, Dave Mee and Phil Myburgh.
Thanks to Bill Brooks for all his work on maintaining the mowers and other equipment.
In the midweek league the women had a bye, while in the men’s section, Dave Price and his team just squeezed past Ron Canning’s Margate BC team on the last end.
Eddie Fann’s team lost to Dave Hume’s team from Banners Rest.
RIVERSIDE
ALL welcome to play in the Food Lover’s Market mixed 2-4-2 on Friday, April 1.

WELL played to Hein Bester, Clive Bignall and Bill Reed on winning the Tiago’s men’s Trips last Tuesday. Runners-up were Brian Hughes, Alan Tyers and Ken Hills.
First session to Martiens Olivier, Ralph Burls and Bill Eccles. Second session to Shane Nienaber, Dieter Scholz and Ian Hutton. 50/50 to Hans Wijtman.
The rain held off for the women’s Ya-Ya’s trips last Wednesday, won by Val Kirkbright, Nora Hill and Nelia Reed. Runners-up were Heather Roberts and Trudy Rush.
There will be a talk on snakes at the club this Sunday (27th) at 3pm. Bring a picnic hamper.
THE BELL
WINNERS of the Fruit and Veg City mixed 2-4-2 were Leon Sander and Maureen Muller. Runners-up were Keith Mills and Tammy Gibbons. Second session went to Desiree and Barry Krause.
Winners of the mixed trips sponsored by Orcas were Leon Sander, Ricky Robertson and Desiree Krause. Runners-up were Duncan and Margie Randall with Barry Krause.
Second session winners were Renzo van Neikerk, Astrid Jackson and Hew Hodgson.

TWENI
THE three teams from Tweni playing in the KBA mixed pairs acquitted themselves well but none reached the knockout stage.
The next competition will be the 3rd Avenue restaurant mixed fours next Tuesday (29th). The Irish evening on 16th was a stunning success.
VILLAGE
THE list is up to enter the women’s handicap singles and also the men’s drawn pairs. Entries close March 30.
Tabs in are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1.15pm for 1.30pm and twilight bowls on Fridays at 2.45pm.
Don’t forget the Boma Branch after bowls from 4pm til 6pm.
