THE South Coast Warriors Rugby Club now has a new sponsor, thanks to Paul Apostolides of Riversmead Farm.
He chatted this week to Christo Henderson (coach), Chris Mitchell (vice-captain) and Dawid van Zyl (assistant coach) and was pleased to be supporting the sport on the coast.
The team will now be known as the Riversmead Warriors.
It’s a massive season for the local rugby club considering the premier league challenge that awaits.
A bit daunting perhaps, but also really exciting.
They are showing some form, having beaten Kapaailand 35-11 in a friendly last Friday.
Rugby fans are encouraged to watch the Riversmead Warriors in action against the mighty Durban Collegians in the first home game of the season at Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground on Saturday, April 9.
Kick-off at 3.30pm.
Before that, the Riversmead Warriors will play Toti at King’s Park on Saturday, April 2.
