Cooler weather is a bonus
The Umtentweni Tennis Club players made the most of the cool conditions.
AUTUMN weather is at last putting in an appearance and this makes tennis much more enjoyable! It was lovely playing last Saturday and Jean Marx’s apricot cheese tarts were polished! The sarmies and carrot cake were also demolished – all three are always a big hit.
Theol Wood came along again but arrived rather late in the afternoon so didn’t play much tennis but enjoyed the camaraderie after play stopped.
Members wish Lynne Rorich a speedy recovery from her cataract ops and look forward to having her back on the courts soon. Pam Grobler is battling a lung infection as well as back problems but hopes to be back with us soon. You have both been missed during your stayaways so hurry back!
Birthday wishes go to Gareth Olivant for the 8th and Mervyn Tarboton for the 12th. Have a great day and lots of smashing tennis in the year ahead.
