THE Indulgence Beauty Salon and Peter Bennett open pairs of Wednesday, July 20 has been moved to Tuesday, July 26, while the Golden Moon Spur mixed trips will be played on Wednesday, July 27.
The club open singles men’s and women’s competitions need to be completed by the end of July.
Please advise the competition secretary should you be unable to meet this deadline.
Please note that the entry form for the KZN singles is on the notice board with closing date July 23.
HIBBERDENE
WINNERS of the Hibberdene Pharmacy nominated mixed trips were Ollie and Marie Coetzer, with Jan Venter.
Runners-up were Bez Bezuidenhout, Miriam Seager and Louise Shone. Session to Bernard Carpenter, Chris Snyman and Jill Whitmore.
Next competition is the Qwagga Takeaway nominated mixed trips this Friday (15th).
The last weekend saw the club hosting two sections of the KBA women’s fours, as well as the semi-finals and finals last Monday.
The club is now co-hosting some of the KZN pairs games this weekend as well as next Wednesday.
MUNSTER
ROB Lyle and Val Smith won the Indulgence mixed pairs from Tommie and Louise Dry as well as Myra Doubell and Derek Wicks.
Second session went to Piet Heunis and Rina Fourie. Board to Ann McAlister.
Krafty Chameleon men’s pairs winners were Gawie Bosman and Derek Wicks.
Runners-up were Tommie Dry and Martiens Zietsman. Second session to Cliff Moakes and Phil Longden. Board to Piet Heunis.
Social sponsored candlelight bowls on Friday, July 22, followed by a braai (bring your own meat, salad supplied). Cost R40. Time is 5 for 5.30pm.

NOMADS
A FRIENDLY reminder to all bowlers that the next Nomads day will at the Village this Sunday, July 17.
All bowlers are welcome to attend. Starting time is 8.30 for 9am. As usual, there is a bring and braai afterwards.
PORT EDWARD
BRIAN Cole-Cook and Hazel Delaney won the Save Rite Port Edward open trips last week.
Runners-up were Dave Hume, John Keppler and Allie Weir.

Tabs in for social bowls this Saturday (16th) is 1.30 for 1.45pm and next Wednesday (20th) same time.
PORT SHEPSTONE
PEET van Rooyen, Claude Ching, Barry Krause and Tony Aveyard won the recent fun morning of bowls.
Runners-up were Eddie Fann, Pat Maggs, Howard Frizelle and John Nadauld. The team with the most touchers was Roy and Judy Anderson and Kevin and Lesley Lancaster.
RIVERSIDE
NO tabs in this Saturday (16th) as the club is hosting the KZN men’s pairs competition.
Tabs in on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1.15 for 1.30pm.
SOUTHBROOM
TAKING the honours at the Mariners Restaurant open fours were Neels Boshoff, Malcolm Milne, Sean Larkins and Monika Zunker.
Runners-up were Steve Rennie, John Keppler, Jenny Tennie and Aubrey Hood.
First session to Herman Scheinberg, Kobus Faber, Sharon Scheinberg and Christine Faber.
Second session to Ina Malan, Dereck Schorn, Ralph Burls and Carl Volker. They were also very pleased to achieve an ‘eight’.
The 50/50 was won by Ina Malan.
The Engel and Volkers 2-4-2 was won by Nora Hill and Eugene Yasbek from runners-up Deks Zunker and Kobus Faber.

SOUTHPORT
THIS Thursday (14th) will see the South Coast Herald mixed 2-4-2 take place.
Members are advised that tabs in will again be held this Friday (15th) as the KZN men’s pairs will be played on our green on Saturday and Sunday.
THE BELL
CONGRATS to Peet van Rooyen, Leon Sanders, Nico van Niekerk and Claude Ching on coming fourth in the KBA men’s fours.
Winners of the Captain’s Anchor mixed fours were Keith Harcombe, Claude Ching, Michelle Vermeulen and Gail Newby.
Second were Alan Jacobson, Renzo van Niekerk, Hew Hodgson and Daphne Hounsell.
The birthday tea for those celebrating in July and August will be held on Wednesday, July 20.
Tabs in are played every Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. There will be a braai after bowls this Sunday (17th).
TWENI
WELL done to all who played in the KBA trips and fours, especially Sheenaugh Dempster, Astrid Jackson and Annette Suther who came third in the trips, and Tammy Gibbons, Val Bedecker, Marie Pick and Daphne Hounsell who came fourth in the fours.
The South Coast Herald men’s pairs was won by Dennis Graham and Mike Findlay from Peter Clark and Dennis Schmidt. Session winners were Bez Bezuidenhout and Bruce Hoyer.
The Schooners mixed trips was won by Eric Grierson, Annette Suther and Mike Findlay from Jack and Dalene van der Berg and Hennie Greyling, with session going to Richard and Kitty Cochman and Dumisani Madlala.
The next competition will be the Harbour View SuperSpar in-house mixed pairs this Friday (15th). No tabs in on July 16 and July 20.
VILLAGE
ALAN Tyers, Brian Hughes and Bill Parfitt won the Hibiscus Retirement Villages men’s trips last week, on a count-out from Mike Prinsloo, Ralph Burls and Hans van der Walt.
Sessions went to Denzil Massyn, Gary Hess and Carl Volker and to Ken Hills, Ali Mitchell and Doug Kent. Gary Hess also won the 50/50
The next sponsored competitions are Hopdens Kwikspar mixed 2-4-2 on Tuesday (26th) followed by Martin Electronics men’s 2-4-2 on the changed date of Thursday, July 28.
The quiz night was won by Bill Latham’s team ‘3 plus 1’ followed by Mary Morley’s ‘MTM’ and Hugh Holland’s ‘Crackpots’.
