A NUMBER of Blue Ocean Aquatics swimmers took part in the Westville Sprints gala held at Kings Park last weekend.
They were Winé Koekemoer, Marnu Koekemoer, Carla Kretzschmar, Michelle Kretzschmar, Nelzaan Strydom, Keytin Vorster, Gemma Allchin, Milla Drakopoulos, Erin Heydricks, Kayla Heydricks, Olivia Hulley, Samantha Labuschagne, Daniel Fisher and Emma Kuhn.
All the above swimmers improved on one or more of their times. Some of them won medals.
Milla Drakopoulos won three gold medals and two silver medals and was the 10-year old age group winner.
Samantha Labuschagne won a gold medal. Daniel Fisher won two bronze medals.
Emma Kuhn won seven gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal. She was also the 11-year old age group winner.
Michelle Kretzschmar won silver and bronze medals in her backstroke events.
Marnu Koekemoer won four silver medals and one bronze medal.
Keytin Vorster won a gold medal and silver medal in his freestyle events.
