Patrick powers to two victories at Margate CC

The women's comp last Tuesday was rained out.

PATRICK Mavundla won twice at Margate Country Club last week.

He scored 40 points last Thursday to win by two from Louie Carreira and by four from Ronnie Mtshaka.

Nearest the pins were Fanie Terblanche (4th) and Ronnie Mtshaka (16th).

Then, on Saturday Patrick teamed up with Wonderboy Nxumalo to win 83 points (combined Stableford).

They were five clear of Sbu Ntozakhe and a pivot.

Third place went to Corjan Hilt and Richard Plaskitt on 75 points.

Nearest the pins were Sbu Ntozakhe (4th) and Alan Davies (16th).

The women’s comp last Tuesday was rained out.

Wednesday Wobblers’ comp was won by Piet Pretorius, Rob McGill and Rolf Speilmann on 79 points.

In second place were Dave Morrison, Frank Merrill and Wimpie Jordaan on 78 points.

Third spot went to Cyril Greensmith, Jan Richter and Alan Davies on 74 points.

Nearest the pin on 11th was Wimpie Jordaan.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Richard Plaskitt, John Gibson and Eddie Gommersall (did not finish).

The women’s Connie Day comp was won on 45 points by Jane Davies and Barbara Jackson, on a countout from Margaret Taylor and Beryl Williamson.

Third went to Evelyn Burls and Lizzie Meyer on 43 points.
