RAIN washed out play at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday but the Casa Toscana Ristorante betterball Stableford last week Saturday was quite a hit.
The women’s section was won by Geraldine Treherne and Lizzie Currie on 47 points.
Runners-up were Rene Matthew and Irene Schanda on 46 points. In third were Ursula Spoerri and Alexandra Huber on 45 points.
Chris Huber and Heiner Spoerri won the men’s comp on 49 points, counting out Piet Joubert and John Lison.
Third place went to Gary Purtell and Malcolm Greenland on 47 points.
